  • Pet Policy

    Are pets allowed?

We adore our four-legged Glampers! Simply add the $45 pet fee per pet in the add-on section during checkout, or email us in advance, and we’ll take care of it for you.

All Timberline guests must adhere to Florida State Park regulations regarding pets.

    Important pet rules include:

    • Pets cannot be left unattended at the campsite for more than 30 minutes. Rangers may intervene if pets are left alone for longer periods.
    • If left inside a tent during the 30-minute window, pets must be properly crated or leashed.
    • You are responsible for covering any damage caused by your pet to our accommodations.
    • On trails or at your campsite, pets must always be leashed, crated, or under physical control. Leashes cannot exceed six feet (6') in length.
  • Bathrooms

    Are there bathrooms?

All glamping accommodations at Amelia Island feature ensuite bathrooms within the tents and domes, offering added comfort and privacy during your stay.

  • Air Conditioning & Heating

Does the tent have A/C and heat?

Yes, our tents are equipped with a mini-split A/C and heating system to enhance your comfort. However, keep in mind that these are canvas-walled tents. Typically, the system provides a 5-15 degree difference compared to the outside temperature. During hot afternoons, the A/C has less impact on the interior, but in the evenings, it can cool the space by up to 20 degrees. While this makes a noticeable difference, it’s not the same as central air conditioning. To maximize comfort, we suggest keeping the tents closed during the hottest part of the day to retain cooler air, opening them at night for ventilation, and layering up during colder months. Experience nature with added coziness!

  • Maxiumum Occupancy

How many people can stay at each glampsite?

Each glampsite comfortably accommodates 4-6 guests, but a maximum of 8 guests is permitted per site. You’re welcome to bring a pack-n-play or air mattress to ensure space for up to 8 guests.

Can extra tents be set up at the site?

Yes, with prior approval. In most cases, a small tent for kids to enjoy the “full” camping experience is allowed on the gravel area next to the main tent. However, larger multi-room tents are typically not permitted.

  • Glamping vs. Camping

    Is glamping still camping?

Absolutely, glamping is camping elevated with added comfort and luxury. You’ll still immerse yourself in outdoor adventures and classic camping activities, but our tents provide upgrades like cozy bedding and climate control to enhance your experience. These conveniences bring a modern twist to the traditional camping vibe. Keep in mind, our tents have canvas walls, so while the A/C in summer and heating in winter improve comfort, they won’t mimic the controlled environment of a home. To maximize your enjoyment, keep tents closed during hot days to retain cooler air, open them at night for fresh breezes, and dress warmly in colder seasons. Glamping allows you to enjoy the authenticity of camping, paired with the comfort of modern amenities, for a truly unforgettable outdoor experience.

  • Park Policies and Wildlife

What park rules should I be aware of?

All Timberline guests are required to adhere to Florida State Park rules. Key regulations include gates closing at sunset, quiet hours between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., keeping pets leashed and under control, and a strict prohibition on collecting firewood.

What should I know about wildlife in the park?

When it comes to wildlife, avoid feeding or approaching any animals. Keep your food and trash securely stored to deter wildlife from wandering into your area. Always stay on marked trails and avoid stepping into bushes or sea grape areas. Be cautious of fire ants, which are common, and be aware that snakes may also inhabit the park. Following these precautions will help ensure your safety and the safety of the wildlife.

  • Quiet Hours

While the park’s official quiet hours start at 11 p.m., we kindly request that guests begin lowering their voices and reducing noise as the sun sets to respect those who wish to enjoy a tranquil evening. Keep in mind that tents offer little sound insulation, so we encourage maintaining a quiet atmosphere after dark for the comfort of all guests.

  • Smoking and Open Flames

Are smoking and open flames permitted?

Smoking is strictly prohibited in and around the glampsites. Open flames, such as candles, are not allowed inside the tents due to fire hazards, and violations may result in fines.

All fires must be restricted to designated fire rings and charcoal grills only.

  • Weather Concerns

Our tents are designed to endure stormy weather conditions. Please be aware that reservations are not canceled due to rain, wind, or thunderstorms. To safeguard against unexpected weather disruptions, we suggest purchasing travel protection.

Because of our location, wind gusts frequently exceed 30 mph. While our tents are built to withstand winds of up to 60 mph, these gusts can be quite noisy. For light sleepers, we recommend bringing earplugs.

In the event of severe weather, the park’s bathrooms are the safest location for shelter. We encourage all guests to familiarize themselves with these areas. During high winds and heavy rain, it is the guest's responsibility to fully zip all windows and doors to minimize water intrusion and to help stabilize the tent against wind forces that could lift the structure.

  • Viewing and Touring Tents

Can I view a tent before booking?

To ensure privacy and security, direct viewing of tents is not permitted. However, you can call us to arrange a tent tour between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

  • Additional Retail Items

Can I purchase items from the tent?

Yes, you can purchase items such as logo mugs, scented oils, and books, which are listed in our online store. Guests can take these items directly from their tent, with charges applied to the card on file, or request new, unopened replacements during their stay for a fresh option from our inventory.

  • Lost and Found

What if I leave something behind?

Items left behind will be placed in our Lost & Found and held for 14 days. On the 15th day, unclaimed items will be donated to a local donation center. If you realize you've forgotten something, we can mail it back to you and charge the card on file for shipping and any necessary packaging.

  • Accessibility

    Are your glamping sites accessible?

Yes, accessibility ramps are available upon request for all sites.
